English for Living

English for Living ("EfL") is an exciting, interactive English course for students wishing to hear, speak, practise online and write English to a level commensurate with the international English language standards.

EfL has been designed to meet the increasing demand for English as the international business language.

EfL develops English communication skills for social, vocational and educational use. The learning outcomes are based on international English language standards ("IELTS"™ and "TOEFL"™). EfL caters for the knowledge acquisition strategies of students preparing for tertiary studies and / or business persons looking to develop further their English to enhance their standing within their particular industry segments.

The online course has a series of learning modules each containing 20 lessons.

Assessments are done online with immediate feedback to the students.

Tutors provide blended learning support via User Group Forums as an option.

The flexibility in the distribution methods of EfL as a mass market language learning tool has led to widespread interest throughout South East Asia and other countries.

EfLLesson 21 - Preparing for the International English Language Proficiency Tests

EfL
Lesson 21 is an intensive 5 day preparation course delivering the techniques and strategies required to score well on the International English Proficiency Tests - IELTS™, TOEFL™. The course includes practice sessions and 1 mock exam which is conducted under examination conditions.
 
EfL English at Work - Practice Series

The Practice Series are specially designed to meet individual client needs and training outcomes. Our team of specialist consultants meets with the client company to determine the desired learning outcomes and designs the training course. These training courses are usually 5 day live-in workshops.

Learn.ed Solutions has trained some 13 government ministries, conducting the workshops in Malaysia, Thailand and Australia. Workshop topics have included: Negotiations 1- Basic, Negotiations 2 - Advanced, Presentation and Communication Skills, Risk Management, Advanced Human Resource Planning, Cross-Border Security Management, Advanced Management Skills.
 
EfL Train the Trainer

The world of multimedia brings new challenges to the classroom dynamic. EfL Train the Trainer updates the trainer on the latest techniques of delivering learning outcomes through the blending of computer assisted training aids and tools with the traditional classroom pedagogy.
 
EfL Bridge

EfL Bridge is a face to face course with topics that prepare students, in a bridging capacity, to study EfL Module 4. This course uses topics which are of relevance to the students in school as well as to the business and services sector.
 
Multimedia Course

The course is an on-line series of lessons on multimedia developed by The Centre for Telecommunications Information Networking (CTIN), the private arm of the University of Adelaide. This Multimedia course has been converted into a format for delivery over the Internet by learn.ed solutions. Various universities in Asia are considering the adoption of the Multimedia Course as a curriculum pursuant to their respective IT based undergraduate study programs.
 
EfL Cable

EfL
Cable is a series of 30 English language learning episodes written specifically for TV broadcast. The lessons are between 5 to 6 minutes long introducing Idioms and commonly used words to enhance one's use of the English Language. Video skit segments, quizzes and teacher input form part of this fast moving, entertaining and educational series of programs. The timeframe of the programs has been designed by our education psychologists to maximise the students' absorption of the learning content.

The Reading Room
The Reading Room is an online student progress reporter which is designed for the course coordinators/administrators to keep track of student progress.

The reporter is instantly updated whenever a student has made progress and it gives the overall percentage of the amount of work completed.

Our facilitators use the Reading Room to report to the coordinator on students who are not progressing or may be experiencing difficulty.
